Composed entirely of archival footage, Do You Love Me is a journey through Lebanon’s audiovisual memory and a poignant love letter to Beirut. Spanning seven decades of film, television, home movies and photography, Lana Daher draws on the country’s rich visual history to explore a collective psyche shaped by joy and intimacy, as much as destruction and loss. Through the perspectives of citizens, filmmakers and artists, the film reconstructs a fragmented past in the absence of a national archive, revealing creative expression as an act of remembrance, resistance, renewal and hope.

Do You Love Me premiered at Venice Days and has screened at leading international festivals, receiving awards and acclaim, and establishing Daher as a compelling new voice in contemporary documentary cinema.

An extraordinary achievement.
