Join us for the Official Opening Night of the 14th Lebanese Film Festival Australia (LFF), Australia’s leading celebration of Lebanese cinema and culture. Launching the festival’s 2026 season from 27 August-11 September 2026, this special event brings together film, food and cultural celebration for an unforgettable evening at the Bryan Brown Theatre, Bankstown.
Founded in 2012 and proudly 100% volunteer-led, LFF is the world’s largest showcase of Lebanese film. Under the patronage of acclaimed Australian actor Bryan Brown AM, we invite you to an unforgettable evening of cinema, food and cultural celebration at the Bryan Brown Theatre, Bankstown.
This year’s festival opens with Disorder (Lebanon | 2024), an anthology feature bringing together four stories from directors Lucien Bourjeily, Wissam Charaf, Bane Fakih and Areej Mahmoud. Executive produced by Academy Award® nominee Nadine Labaki, the 91-minute film explores life in contemporary Lebanon through four distinct perspectives, blending satire, dark comedy and intimate drama to capture the absurdity, grief and resilience of a generation living through Lebanon’s collapse.
Before the screening, enjoy an Opening Night reception featuring:
